Lash Training & Knowledge: The Best Investment for a Lash Maker
The life of a lash trainer is not always easy.
On the contrary: it is getting harder and harder to be successful in our industry. Only those who are strong can keep their business alive in this market.
I noticed that most lash makers are no longer willing to pay a higher price for training.
But what exactly is a high price?
Which price is high or low depends on your own perspective. More and more Lash makers are attending inexpensive training courses with instructors that are not competent enough to train their students for everything that the life of a Lash maker entails. Therefore, there is an infinite number of lash makers with a lack of knowledge. As a lash maker, don’t you think about whether this is the right way for you? Is that where these lash makers want to go? Is that all you want to achieve professionally?
I have seen that many large companies with important names and a lot of competence offer their training courses at reduced prices. Why are you doing that?
Because the market is broken!
Personally, I think it’s a shame because these trainers have also invested a lot of money in knowledge and skills. We educate ourselves for you and no investment is too good for us to develop and expand our skills.
We do it for us and for you.
For us, because we can never acquire enough knowledge and keep setting our goals further. For you lash makers out there so we can get you to the top.
That is our job as trainers. Of course, many coaches are just coaches because they want to get a quick buck, but there are some of us for whom income is secondary.
Our students have priority!
The coaches who have turned their passion into a profession are the ones who are really capable of training lash makers.
I paid a very high price for my entire training and I was happy to do that. This investment got me to where I am today. This also applies to some of my colleagues.
It’s not even 1,000 euros. It’s not even 10,000 euros. It is much more. But the knowledge that I have gained is worth infinitely more in the end.
Knowledge is infinite.
We don’t have the knowledge just for today. No, we carry it with us for a lifetime.
If the cost of training is between € 500 and € 1,000, this is not a high price. It is also not enough to invest in your own career as a lash maker. This knowledge is not enough for you only for today and tomorrow. You have & use this knowledge for life.
What does a lash set cost in your studio? Between 100 and 180 €? That would be realistic. If you do 10 lash sets, you will have the money for your training. It’s an investment that pays out much more than the amount you put in.
You have developed your skills and knowledge further and your customers are happy that you are investing in yourself because you deliver even better services. Your social media presence will be stronger, you will become more professional, your customer base will grow and you will climb a few important steps on the success ladder.
That’s what should count for every lash maker.
I keep getting training requests. But when the lash makers hear the price of my training, I don’t get an answer or they say “Oh, thank you very much. But that is expensive. I have to think about it.” Or the classic: “I’ll get in touch with you.”
Quite honestly: If Lash makers are not willing to pay the price of my training, although I and all my students know how high quality my training is (not to mention the fact that I also give out starter kits) – then I am not willing to pass on my knowledge for 300 to 500 €.
Sometimes I teach 10-14 hours. No student goes home empty-handed and without having acquired new knowledge & skills.
You lash makers out there need to know what you want and where you want to go. But don’t expect us coaches to sell ourselves below our value and give away all the knowledge we have worked so hard for.
Just ask yourself: would it be fair for us to do so?
